My Story

Welcome to my art adventure as I follow my own artistic path in our changing world.

In my 9th grade year of high school, I chose my career.  I would become an art teacher!  I love all things art related.  Easy peasy.  After all, during my generation a woman was encouraged to teach, be a nurse or perhaps a secretary.   Not a difficult choice for me.  

After 37 years of teaching, it was time for me to change vocations. No longer could I say I’m an art teacher.  But am I an artist now?  Remember that old saying, “those who can, do; those who can’t, teach.”  What a stigma!

So, come along with me as I take on this adventure. My destination involves new mediums, techniques, and (yikes!) technology. Join me on this journey to find my own personal artistic voice, learn how to create a webpage, navigate social media, perhaps write a blog, or even open an art shop. 

The goals are lofty, and the process is slow. However, I hope you will follow me as I share the steps, challenges, failures, and successes as I take the leap into the world of art technology and marketing. This website is step one.
