Many of my landscape paintings have a hard-edge graphic quality. Influenced by a novel that I read many years ago I love what a red underpainting can do to make the colors sing. You’ll see red under-painting or outlining in Red or Prussian Blue in many of these paintings.

As you can see, these two painting are from the same location. I love this view and have painted it several times varying the colors, time of day, medium and style.
